App to display read only content with search and filtering functionality

Hello.

I would like to build an app to display content from a smartsheet. I want the end users to have a simple to use app/ Web page where they can search, filter and display content in a firm factor.

I know Microsoft Power apps have connections with the smartsheets. I spent quite some time and can't figure out how to connect the data. Is there a better, easier to use app? If the Microsoft Power apps is the right solution, Is there any training or documentation that describes the process of building an app?

OK. I created a sample table...

I want to present this data in a format similar to this(via a weblink or app). This is very rough:

Search functionality will be great. And also, a next and previous button to scroll through records in a form format will be ideal.

I looked into 2 solutions:

1)Export the Smartsheet to an Excel file on Onedrive and build a Microsoft PowerApp to connect to the Excel to show content. (I need to learn the PowerApps)

2)Use the AppSheet (3rd party platform, www.appsheet.com). Does what I need to. Requires additional licensing.

Ideally, I would like to build this in Smartsheet and share as view only with many people within our organization...

Yes, I think we can come far in Smartsheet, but it might need a third-party integration to make it work exactly as you need.

What features are a need to haves and what is nice to haves?

Navigation to each record and selecting a category to filter is a must. Search is a nice to have. Thanks for your responses Andrée.

I can't speak to Microsoft Power apps, but you can Publish any Smartsheet sheet and use the URL or embed code for that sheet to display data. Published sheets can be filtered & searched - see here for more information.

If you specifically want to look into Microsoft Power apps, you may want to post in their Community - see here.

@Andrée Starå may have other ideas for third party integrations.

Apologies for the delayed response.

I had an idea to have the search parameters in a sheet and then have a report showing the results or something similar, but It sounds like the AppSheet option probably would be easier to use.

What do you think?
