One person has multiple jobs on one day

Hi,

I'm looking to adjust my sheet based on one person having multiple jobs in one day. What I'd like to do it have it be that each person has only one job per day. Ideally, SS would be able to look at all other jobs this person is assigned to and adjust the start dates of other jobs based on available slack time (away from critical path). For example, if I have Aaron assigned to do job A and B on the same day but B is not on the critical path, SS would push off start time by one day. Is there a way to do this?

Hi Ben,

There currently isn't a way to automatically adjust tasks as you have described in Smartsheet. Please submit an Enhancement Request when you have a moment!

You could potentially set up an Alert based on a formula that looks if a specific user is assigned to more than one Row with the same Start Date, or if you're using the Resource Management function you can set it up to show you if someone is over-allocated, but then you would need to go in and adjust their dates manually.
