Dashboards on rows
Hello Everyone,
I am trying to build a Dashboard, several teams in my Org. can use.
The idea behind this is as follows:
- There is a separate sheet, which gets filled by using forms / row update.
- Each Team fills out their row initially by using the form and then does updates on certain fields via a workflow.
- A Dashboard accesses this row and displays these infos in a nice way and can be shared across.
My issue is, that while I can create a Dashboard that suits all my needs, it's difficult to copy it and have it just use the next row of the source data sheet without significant manual effort.
Is there an easy way around this?
Thanks a ton!
Sebastian

I’d recommend either creating a section in the sheet for all teams or use cross-sheet formulas to collect in on another sheet. That would make it easy to update and select the information for that specific dashboard/team.
Would that work?
I hope that helps!
Be safe and have a fantastic weekend!

I think I have a similar issue, where I have a Dashboard that pulls from a sheet updated weekly, however the graph in the Dashboard does not automatically pull that new data into the visual. I've got to go in and manually reselect the fields from the source sheet. Ideally, the user populating the information would only have to do that, then the Dashboard would respond to new data in the adjacent fields and expand its display.
What am I missing?

I'd recommend creating a Report and use that for the Dashboard instead and then will always be up to date.
Make sense?
Would that work/help?
I hope that helps!

Thank you @Andrée Starå. That was the piece I wasn't connecting from other Reports that I've used to derive Dashboards. Sorry it took me a few days to look back into this, much appreciate the insight. Creating the Report will automatically update the data from the Sheet and therefore automatically update the Dashboard Widgets.
