Is there a multi-page option for Forms?

A colleague presented a solution for a Smartsheet form that was quite lengthy in terms of questions. It was broken down into 9 sections, but it would be nice to have 9 pages to complete in order to fully submit the form. Therefore, only displaying the relevant info for the current section. Reducing the long vertical scroll option. Is there a way to incorporate that or is it in the plans to enable pages?

    Not exactly an answer to your question, but an alternative solution my organization has used is creating sections in the form and then having them expand using conditional logic as you get to the end of the form.

    Hi @Jake Gustafson

    To add to Adrian's excellent advice/answer.

    I developed a solution using two forms (but it could be structured as a chain with more forms) (or the same form by using conditional logic) that can be used to submit the main information and then the other information on a new row for each submission after the first.

    Would that work/help?

    I hope that helps!

    Be safe and have a fantastic week!

    @Adrian Backus, thanks this is helpful. Are you saying that as you scroll through, the additional sections open up or once you deem a section complete, that would display the next section? Either way, the previously completed sections are still expanded, correct? This is definitely on the table as there are some existing Conditional Logic items incorporated to display additional fields.

    @Andrée Starå, thanks as well. Very helpful. Are you saying that you'd have the user fill out the first form and upon its submission, it would trigger the next form to be sent to them?

    @Jake Gustafson

    You're more than welcome!

    They would start with form one, and then when it's submitted, form two opens automatically.

    I'd be happy to share an example.

    Please send me an email at andree@workbold.com, and I'll share it with you.

    @Andrée Starå if you are using multiple forms to create a survey/questionnaire like this, how would you suggest joining the date so that you get each form data aligned to the same user without having the person filling out something to ID themselves in the process?

    I.e. an employee survey with 2 questions per page, total of 10 questions (5 pages/forms)

    Thanks

    @Andrée Starå

    Hi, How do you get the 2nd form to reference/join/match to the data from the first form?

    ETA: possibly use an update request for remaining data after form is submitted.

    Thank you,

    Karin

    Hi @ker9

    I hope you're well and safe!

    You can use an update request, but it's also possible to collect multiple rows and then have them collected on the same row. I recently developed a similar solution for a client, but it's very advanced, or at least this one was.

    An update request, if it works, is a much simpler solution.

    I hope that helps!

    Be safe, and have a fantastic week!

    in my opinion will be better to have pages rather then multiple forms , this to avoid that the user will only complete the first page..
