Say Hello to PPM Function TotalFloat
Hi Community,
We are happy to announce the addition of the TotalFloat function to Smartsheet’s powerful set of Project and Portfolio Management capabilities. The TotalFloat() function calculates the number of working days that a task can be delayed without impacting the Project Finish Date. This new formula function will help project, program, and portfolio managers more effectively identify and mitigate risk in large-scale, dependency enabled project sheets.
Pro Tip: this formula requires that dependencies be enabled on the source sheet.
Enable dependencies or you may get an #INVALID COLUMN VALUE error!
Check out the Help article on TotalFloat to get started, and don’t forget to download the Formula Examples template in the Solution Center to see examples of each Smartsheet function in action!
If you have feedback or suggestions on how we can improve the formula experience in Smartsheet, please fill out a Product Feedback Form for our product team to review.
You can also stay informed by subscribing to receive release notes for curated news of recently released product capabilities and enhancements for the platform of your choosing, delivered to your inbox. As new releases occur, you will receive a daily email with news of what's released. (Emails will only send daily, Monday-Friday, as new releases are available).
Cheers,
Allegra
