Would be a gamechanger for productivity! This has my vote.
Another vote for the function
Here we are two years later…
Any update from Smartsheet?
Voted as well - this is a sorely needed feature for Smartsheet! An update from Smartsheet devs would be great to know where it is on the plan.
Having the ability to connect dropdown values to another sheet would be a game changer for me. That way if something new is added to a list of options, we could add it in a single source sheet and have that change reflected in every sheet capturing that information.
Please, to me (and many people), DataShuttle is not an option.
This dropdown list funcionality is necesary.
It is crazy update all opcions in every column definitions.
I would really like to be able to reference another sheet range or column for my dropdown values. Also being able to type and get recommended value to fill.
conditional drop downs would also be useful. But having a single source for value list is much higher on my priorities.
Adding a vote from our team here. I consult for various companies and the lack of this feature is preventing us from using Smartsheet most efficiently and causing us to question if we should continue with this software.
The slowness in rolling out new features doesn't help either!
Voting from our team as well. This feature would greatly enhance our processes.
I would love that feature, you have my vote!
I want to dynamically display dropdown options in column B based on the drop down value selected in column A to reduce clutter and improve user experience.
There are products out there that do this as add ons (NOT From Smartsheet). I wish I did not have to go outside of Smartsheet for this feature.

It would be super helpful if we could base the dropdown options in Column 2 on the selection from Column 1. Currently, I am using multiple Columns and conditional logic within the form to limit the options, but my data set is too large to refine the options as far as I would like to go.
Hi,
Adding a use case and request for this feature. We have an ask to flag projects based on business division, then in the next column select the appropriate business segment (with items only displayed for that division) and on down. If the column dropdown values were dynamic we would be able to implement this.
Would really like this option. As we don't have a database feature (I don't see data table as one) so having this functionality would be very helpful.
