Form - heading description link not opening in separate tab.
I created URL Links in my form within the a heading description and the links are not opening up in a separate tab. The users have to click the back button and then it is wiping out all the information.
The weird thing is it works in the Form Title Description but not in a header description.
PLEASE HELP!

Hi @CharleneS
I hope you're well and safe!
Unfortunately, as far as I know, it's not possible now to open it in another window, but it's an excellent idea!
I hope that helps!
Be safe and have a fantastic week!

I found a work around If you put it as a Text/Number and put the Links in the Help text it opens it up in another window.

Excellent!
I forgot about that.

An enhancement request was created - feel free to upvote via the link below:
"Send user to link" in form submission to open in a new tab/window — Smartsheet Community
More immediately, there was a helpful workaround solution posted by @sharkasits in this thread, by adding
&target=_blank
or?&target=_blank
(if there isn't already a ? in the URL) to force a new tab. It worked for me, hope it serves as a workaround for you. Using "Click here to..." as opposed to a big gnarly url to copy / paste is a much more elegant solution. -
Hi all,
Hopping in here to let you know there's been an update to the way hyperlinks work in forms!
It won't happen automatically for your current links, you'll need to re-add them for the links to open in a new tab. Here's more information:
Cheers,
Genevieve
