Exporting Report's with Grouping
I have researched that currently we cannot export to pdf or excel in the grouping format that it shows in the Report. I have noticed that this has been discussed and mentioned for a few years but little information or anything to suggest it is actually being worked on.
When will this be updated/timeline? As I unfortunately may have to resort back to excel/access until they update what should be a simple export program.

So many requests like this one! Adding my voice - please work on exporting grouped reports to pdf, at least. Thank you!

Since there hasn't been update or an ETA for when this will be fixed by Smartsheet, I created my own PDF generator that can export the report with groupings.
The PDF Generator is part of SSFeatures, and then you can click this button:

@SSFeatures is there a way to use this with Excel? Additionally, can I set this up as automation to send as an attachment or generate automatically?

Hi @Alicia D, I've been thinking about expanding this so that it works to generate Excel documents, but I wasn't sure how many people needed it! So far I've only seen a couple other threads mention that they needed the Excel generator, but since you mention it, I'll prioritize it higher.
Unfortunately you can't use this to setup any automations or to generate and send it via email. The reason is because that would require SSFeatures to send your data to an external server. I chose to limit SSFeatures in this way, for privacy and security purposes. I don't ever want SSFeatures to send data out of anybody's browser.

@SSFeatures Thank you for the information! It would definitely be a lifesaver for my team is we could have it export as an excel! That makes sense as far as automation, appreciate the explanation.
