Collaborating outside my organization which uses SSO
Hello,
My IT department is telling me that it's not possible to share any resources with external parties because we use SSO to log in. Based on the article below, I thought our Admins could enable this feature if we publish an item. Is there any way around this, or are there truly limitations with an SSO type account setup? Thank you!

I see what you're saying now, and agree it's something your Smartsheet Admin person or team has set a restriction for. As a former Systems/Network Admin, I'm pretty sure SSO has nothing to do with that "Available to anyone with the link" setting not being available to you.
Here's something you can share to help your case. Shows how a Smartsheet admin can restrict/allow users to use that option:

Hi @HutchL,
If you share something with someone external, they aren't under your domain and aren't impacted by how you log in. If you publish something, a URL is used to access the content. Any person, internal or external to you, should be able to access it (as long as they have internet access).
Feel free to share something with me to test with! raymond.lindstrom@optum.com

Thank you Ray! I've attached screen shots of what happens. I think it's a setting our System Admins need to change (if policy allows), but I'm not sure how to convince them of this since they think it's an SSO problem. Screenshots attached.

@HutchL are you the owner of your sheet?

Hi Ray,
Thank you for all the information you provided and the follow-up! It took a few weeks and a lot of persistence, but I did finally find a path through IT to enable external domains upon request. I definitely couldn't have done it without you. Thank you so much!
