Data Shuttle and Smartsheet Attachment workflow is not working
When source location is a Smartsheet attachment, I get the following error "Please select source in order to see dropdown menu".
The original workflow was having intermittent issues and then broke completely. Tried to build a new workflow and that is is when the error message appeared.
The band-aid solution is time consuming and I am the only one that run it. I was hoping that setting a Data Table would be the answer. NOPE! I get the same error if target is a Data Table.

Hi @Meg Y
I've tested setting up that exact same workflow in DataShuttle, with an .xlsx file set as choosing the file by "Most Recent" and it worked without an error. This to me indicates there's something specific about either the Sheet where the attachment is being uploaded or the attachment itself that's causing Data Shuttle to be unable to read your information.
One thing to note is that Data Shuttle does not support OpenXML-based .xlsx files. If you're generating the file data using an API, generate a .csv file rather than an .xlsx file. (See: Create an Upload Workflow in Data Shuttle)
Another thing to check is the sheet itself (where the attachment is being uploaded) - is it possible your sharing permissions were removed or the sheet was deleted?
If none of this has helped, please contact Support with the following information:
- Screen recording of the behaviour
- Source sheet ID (or URL)
- Does the error persists on other file attachments? If not, please send Support the one xlsx file that's causing the error
Cheers,
Genevieve

If the source file is located in One Drive there is no issue. However, not a solution. The workflow was built for another different department and the excel file always has a date in the name.
