Outlook Update Request Date Format

My business uses Smartsheet in UK, and on all our sheets the date have been set to appear in European format i.e. DD/MM/YY. However, on update request these dates appear in American format in the mail i.e. MM/DD/YY. I contacted Smartsheet on the issue and there is no way to change the format in the mails at the moment. Smartsheet should add this as a feature, as it confuses people that receive mails and makes Smartsheet look unprofessional.
