For some reason it is not possible to @ someone in commenting and have a list of Smartsheet users populate to @ while in WorkApps. This is very surprising that this is not a current feature in WorkApps? This is widely used functionality in Smartsheet, why not in WorkApps?
Would like the ability to tag someone via @mention in a row comment via a page accessed thru a WorkApps.
Looks like others have hit this issue before...

Please Add Full @mention Functionality to WorkApps. I Have to Type The Entire Email Address to Use @mention Functionality.
Would also like this ability as people will need to be able to tag eachother for my purpose. Thanks.
We use @mention all the time on sheet/report level because we have so many specific tasks and most are required to have conversations within.
So for WorkApps to be more effective, we need @mention function within the WorkApp. We don't have time to spell out or find out someone's email address to create @mention on WorkApp itself. We have over 200 projects - it'll be fabulous if we can utilize WorkApp for more functionality - but without @mention we can't come up with better solutions for them. thanks!
We have several Workapps for our field maintenance teams that require them to use @mention with each other, supervisors, and the accounting department. The effectiveness of the workflow automation is hampered without this capability, requiring them to leave the Workapp and email or call separately. It's very unproductive.
Thanks.
I would LOVE this feature! Our team of over 150 utilizes WorkApps every day to collaborate with external partners, and @ mentioning is key to our productivity. It's a huge drawback of WorkApps to lose this functionality.
It is critical for us to have this feature. It is ridiculous why it is not implemented yet @smartsheet
We use WorkApps to allow users access to only specific information. Our work is very collaborative and @mentions are used regularly. Not having full @mention functionality in WorkApps reduces our effectiveness and forces some work out of WorkApps.
Additionally, in WorkApps when a report is used to filter out row, an @mention generates an email notification that shows the row on the sheet instead of the row on the report and the recipient must search the report to find the correct record. Search is done using the Primary value that is included in the email notification. @mentions in WorkApps only work if the user has permission to see that page in the WorkApp.
I've build many team-specific reports and WorkApps to help filter information as much as possible. What I would hope is that people could interact with any report in the WorkApp the same way they would outside the WorkApp. The @mention commenting feature is key to our processes.
I wish I had known that this basic functionality was not a part of WorkApps as we would not have purchased it at all if we were aware.
I was under the assumption when we were sold this product that the sheets/reports/dashboards/forms would work the same in WorkApps as they do outside of an app.
This is incredibly disappointing and feels like a bait and switch, frankly.
This is critical functionality, without it the ability to fully collaborate across the organization in WorkApps isn't possible. We were looking at WorkApps as a solution, and not having the ability to use the @mention (and populate the contact person's email address) will prevent us from using WorkApps. Requiring the users to lookup and type a full email address is not a usable solution. Please consider adding this feature.
We need this feature for our WorkApp. We cannot have a team of 80 people requesting access to the underlying sheets every time they are mentioned it is a valuable feature for us.
We need this!
