Equipment Check-out...
Has anyone implemented a sheet for use as an equipment check-out form? That is a web form that is filled out by the user which allows them to select from a database of available equipment and indicate the length of use in days?
I think I could do that with a column dropdown list populated with the items that are available. But what about a formula or conditional formatting that would prevent double-booking of equipment based on availability? And that being reflected on the webform in real-time based on when someone is filling out the form and submitting it?

What helps is a datadriven - dropdownlist in the webform. In this case: based upon a report (which can be tuned to only show not-checked-out equipment), but that does not exist yet.
I've asked R&D many times. Hopefully this function will be released soon.

Set up your equipment as invited fake users on your account and track them using resource management. This will warn your if they are over booked - just like a human resource.

Who know how to create a formula etc. that stops double booking? Adding global GAL entries is not a good option. I would like to prevent users from double booking four systems that do not need approval, but a cal integration to see bookings would be great.

You could probably accomplish what you need with the new Web content widget for dashboards/portals.
