Re: Linking Predecessors to Other Sheets
Bump. This would be incredibly helpful. Please implement.
Re: February Question of the Month - Join the conversation and receive a badge
When I was a kid I wanted to be a pediatrician. I wanted nothing but to be able to help and heal children. Now, as an adult, I work for a company that helps our tiniest patients. We have cameras and other applications and resources in NICUs around the world. I am a Project Manager for the MilkTracker team which is a HIPAA compliant feeding management system. Prior to that I was an integration team lead doing both leadership and development of interfaces.
A lot of things happened in life to get me where I am. As a young adult, I never thought I'd be making more than $10 an hour and that I would just end up as another statistic. I was half right....I am a statistic being a woman in computer information systems.

When I was a kid, I wanted to be just like my dad and deal with stocks/finance and be somewhere in that realm and industry. I always had a love for numbers and math as a student, and I took that passion with me throughout college.
I currently work for Target HQ and have overlaps into finance alongside handling the budgeting for my team. A large portion of my job also involves Project Management and stakeholder engagement which satisfies the "business" part of my brain.
I would be incredibly proud to know as a child that I'd wind up in a career that aligns with my passion! I'm also proud that I started from the ground up beginning at 16 years old pushing carts in a parking lot & cashiering, and knowing that I wanted to do more and to make a positive impact with the work that I do, regardless of my position.

When I was a kid, I wanted to be a pilot and/or a clothing designer. I wanted to go places and meet new people. I love watching the runway shows and duplicating the designs. Of course I was teased about my clothes, but I didn't care. My small town would catch up in about 6 months to a year later.
I now work the legal department of an international company and speak to people from all over the world. I love traveling and enjoying the local cuisine.
My love of fabric has become my medium of art. I am an accomplished seamstress and can make anything from fabric. Here is my last project. And no, the center medallion is not a photo its about to 25+ pieces of fabric.
If I can draw it, I can make it.

Support and Sync allocation in hours from Resource Management to Smartsheet
We submit time projections by hour instead of by %ages. I am aware that RM sheet daily hours are converted to %ages to sync between RM and SS. However, hours are needed for calculations and dashboards at this time. We would like to see raw daily hours reflected in RM available for reporting in SS. Would it be a huge lift to support and sync the corresponding raw hours/day along with the %ages so that data is available for dashboards?
Re: Deactivate form after set # of entries/submissions OR by date
I think it would be a great idea or a great option to have the ability to place automation on the form Activation/Deactivation button.
In my line of business we are constantly activating and deactivating multiple forms every week for a specific number of days. Having so many opening and closing forms becomes a little overwhelming when trying to have a cut off date and time. The option to set this up when opening the form that it should closed on this day at this time would be a HUGE help!

Update Request using a Form
I am creating a SmartSheet that we will load specific rows to it. I then would alert the contact of their row via Alert Someone workflow. Then the person would have to update a couple of columns/fields in the Smartsheet. Here is my problem:
- The Update feature doesn't give you an option (that I know of) of formatting the fields like a Form does. So, for example, if my column is called "Information is Accurate," I would like to be able to format the Update notification to replace "information is accurate" with "Is the information on this company accurate" to provide clarity to the user - as you do on a Form.
- When using a form, it adds new and does not necessarily update the correct row/cell.
I have set up a different sheet for my intake form (since it only adds new records) and used VLOOKUP to reference it to my master Smartsheet. However, that creates other issues. The Alert Notification is still coming from my master because the information is loaded there - giving the recipients access to the master sheet.
I read that I can use a crucial identifier to use a Form to Update rows. Has anyone been successful with this and can share how to set it up?
Thank you!
