Automate applying contact to cell after using form to submit data

I am using a form to gather request information from users outside of Smartsheet. I cannot ask all of the target form users to create a Smartsheet account, which makes what I would like to do probably more difficult.

Is there a way to have the cell that I am currently having users put their name into when they submit the form automatically convert it to a contact from the contact list within that column? Right now I am manually switching it over to contacts from just plain text. I would like to be able to utilize the contact information in the future for sending updates to requestors.

Hi Gritz2m,

If you add a Contact list to your form it will automatically update your contacts in your sheet if the users enter a valid email address.
