2 forms 1 sheet
Hello,
I have two forms in the sheet. Form A is the one to be filled out first. Form B requires some fields from Form A and other new fields.
Form B needs to auto-populate some fields from Form A based on the contact list so If I select Peter in Form B, it should populate the fields from the sheet that Peter tagged and it should editable. Is that feasible?
I'm using the Form and not update request or DynamicView as people are not on Smartsheet.
Thanks in advance.

That is not possible.
As long as your automation settings are unrestricted, you can send an Update Request to someone who is not a Smartsheet user.

Thanks, Paul.
I don't see any trigger in Form A to use Update Request, which means they need to use Form B when they need to.

You would capture their email address in the first form then set up a sheet level automation to request an update (sent to the email address field) when a row is added.

Hi @maltaee
I hope you're well and safe!
They would fill in the form first and submit it, and then you'll have a Workflow trigger with an Update Request if they selected something that needs to be added/edited.
Make sense?
Would that work/help?
I hope that helps!
Be safe, and have a fantastic week!

Make sense but the people will be on-site so they need immediate access to the 2nd form.
Does it make sense to create a published report based on the sheet/form? - any concerns you see with this solution
-
No, that would work perfectly, but be aware that they can access the sheet.
Would it still work?

Publishing the report won't let them edit the information on the report. Any workaround for that?
Request Update won't work as different users will need Form B access.
-
Sorry! I missed the Publish part and thought you shared it.
Shouldn't they have access to the main sheet?

No. They are not on Smartsheet. This is why I'm trying to utilize the Form, but it doesn't look to populate some fields and provide the ability to update some fields.
I just don't see any option that works in the moment.
