Hello, I'm Carolyn. 😀 I'm a solutions architect and principal for Make 1 Content Strategy, where I help companies make a bigger impact and build lasting trust with their digital content. I love organizing content and working with users to design learning and documentation products that make it easy for them to do great work.

I'm currently enjoying learning about the API and how Smartsheet can be used for content strategy, governance, and information architecture.

I live in Illinois. I love to spend time with my family, travel, and knit, and and am currently teaching myself woodworking!

Love that you're teaching yourself woodworking, what's your favorite part about it so far? I took a woodworking class back in college, and even though it's been a good while, I remember it being pretty fun. 😄

Hi @Rebeca S. ! For woodworking, my favorite part so far has to be learning how to join two pieces of wood together in a stronger & more visually attractive way, vs. the ole glue-n-nail technique! Like, mortise and tenon, lapped joints, and dovetails! I love old furniture, how thoughtfully some of it was designed. Wood is so lovely.

Beautiful design is such a delight! I especially appreciate beautiful things I use every day. 😀

Not only is it fascinating to learn about the techniques, but also getting to enjoy those beautiful things every day, as you said. It puts a smile on your face each time you see them. ☺️

While I am originally from Indiana, my career has taken me literally around the world and back. I am a veteran of the United States Air Force and have traveled to over thirty countries as an aircraft mechanic. After living in multiple states and three years in Japan, my wife and I recently returned back home to Indiana, where I am now the general manager of an aircraft painting company.

When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family, trying new restaurants, reading, and woodworking. Together, my wife and I still enjoy traveling and are always looking for our next adventure!
