Guage Chart or Speedometer Charts

I couldn't find a gauge chart option in Chart widgets, any idea if it is available or any work around?
It is strange - as this is very basic chart other apps/ Software provided for their Dash boards.
Seems Customization is not an option in Smartsheet, I mean ever Excell can create a gauge chart.

You can use the donut chart to create a gauge like this, if you don't mind the pointer not extending beyond the chart.
There are enhancement requests for dashboard improvements that you can add your vote to such as:

Hello KPH,
Could you provide some more information on how to create the speedometer chart above please? I'm looking for a 3 or 4 colour gauge to show R/A/G or R/A/G/Complete.
Thank you!

Hi
It is a bit of a manual work around and might take time to get the data set up correctly to start with. You'll need a sheet with your data in. And you'll need to manipulate it to make the gauge shape. You'll need a column for each of your colors, plus 2 other columns.
- For each color, you will need to have half of the percentage that you want to display (as you are only showing half of the pie). So, if you want 11% to be in red, you will need the data to show 5.5%.
- For the first extra column, make this 50%. This will be the white part of the pie (invisible).
- For the second extra column, make this very small - I used 0.2%. This will be the pin.
You will also need to have the columns in a specific order. Start from the 12 o'clock position. This might mean one data point needs to be split into two. You might also need a few graphs for the same data so that as projects move through stages you can swap between them.
In my example above I have 88% completed. To get that to graph, my first column was 19% (88/2=44. 44-25=19). The next was the Pin. Then the red 5.8% (100-50-25-19-0.2). Then white 50%. Then green 25%.
I have drawn that (badly):
This part may take some effort to get set up.
Then you need a dashboard with a chart widget.
- Select your data.
- Choose a chart type of donut.
See what it looks like. You might need to play around with the columns.
