Publishing to Google Calendar

Hello,
I have created a calendar from my sheet which I published to my google calendar. The events appear as expected however, the issue I am having is that the calendar does not show any new events added since publishing. Is there a way to have a published calendar (not the calendar app) that updates when new events have been added?

It's the calendar client that controls this, not Smartsheet.
My Calendar app on Mac has a setting, so you will need to figure out if you can make Google do it. You can use a script, but I have not done it and do not even know how:GitHub - derekantrican/GAS-ICS-Sync: A Google Apps Script for syncing ICS/ICAL files faster than the current Google Calendar speed
