Dashboard Sharing

Hi All!

Aside from sharing it using a public link, I was pretty sure that dashboards functioned like reports, where a user had to have access to the supporting/underlying sheet to access the information. Has that changed? And if I was wrong from the beginning…I guess my real question is:

I do not want to make my dashboard accessible via a public link; I want users to have to log in to access it. Can I simply share the dashboard with them without giving them access to the supporting sheet(s)? Or, like reports, would I need to share the supporting sheet as well?

Thank you in advance for your help!

Yes, you can just share the dashboard with them without using the public published link. Then they are required to log in to view. If you want them to be able to see the data on a report, but not share them to a report or the underlying data, select "Last Widget Editor" in the Viewer Mode setting.
