This winter I achieved a personal milestone since moving to the UK 7 years ago: I took part in an open studio where I displayed some of my pottery to sell!
Throwing on the wheel has been a personal hobby of mine for years, but I haven't had enough stock (or confidence) to show my work or try to sell it. I had a number of friends come out to support and cheer me on, which did mean a lot to me… but then I also had, for the first time, legitimate strangers buy my mugs. Not because they knew me, but just because they liked the shape/feel/style of the hand-carved honeycomb. What a rush!
Since we're talking about milestones, I should also mention that as of a few weeks ago I officially received my Indefinite Leave to Remain for the UK (residency), so that's another wonderful achievement to celebrate.
What's one thing you're proud of from this last year?

Regions identify where your data is hosted, not where you are physically located, which means you may have a paid account in one Region but a free account (without paid Support) in another. Read this article for more!
