In a standard email notification for sheet updates the changes are shown in yellow in the email body, is there a way to define that color to something other than yellow?
Hey Jodi,
I've never tested it, but you could try changing the "highlight changes" color of the sheet to a different color and then checking the next notification email. It's my best guess. Typically there are very limited options for things like notification or UR formatting.
As a workaround, we never use the standard yellow highlight color for any of the cells in a sheet. That way we avoid confusion between cell changes, and just a yellow formatted cell.
Cheers.
I use orange as the background color for changed cells when using the “Highlight Changes” feature. However, Smartsheet uses yellow as the background color for changed cells when sending the daily notification email of changes. Yellow is too hard to read. How can I change the background color in the email to match the background color in the actual sheet?
Hi,
I've had requests from my colleagues who use notifications on a regular basis for the same issue.
I was wondering if any progress had been made since this last post and if it is possible to de-activate the yellow colour on emails received ?
Thansk !
We would like this to be fixed also. It's extremely difficult to read the update emails (especiallly on an iPhone). Please fix this Smartsheet!

Any update on this one?
Would be super helpful
Curious if anything else has been discovered. I'm using the automated to send survey responses to people and would LOVE to be able to turn off the yellow highlight
Same here, the yellow makes it hard to read and overall does not look great.
Checking in to see if any progress has been made on this issue.
Hi, "Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required." is the very first line in the body of every form I create. I don't remember seeing it before (unless you missed filling out a required field; then you would see the message). Is there a way to turn it off or change it? None of my forms are in English so the message is…
I have a sheet that I pull into a report. The report I then want to use to make a stacked bar chart and put into a dashboard if I can. The columns I am trying to make into a stacked chart are: Lead, project and phase. The issue is that there are several leads and I need the stacked bar chart to show in different colors for…
I have a dynamic view setup for a dashboard that has NO restrictions And on the Sharing tab, I have a Group that I created as the additional share access to the view But the individuals in the Group still cannot see the data from the dashboard. Am I missing something? Because when I share the view to them individually…
