Notifications and update requests
I'm automating the update request and reminder stages to update my activities. The worksheet is not shared, but I've enabled the alert permissions for the least restrictive.
The actions and alerts indicator column appears in the reminder symbol and is in pending status, but is not sending email to the requested contact. Emails are not being trashed or spammed.
Has anyone had the same problem and managed to solve it?

Hi Andrée,
Can you please elaborate on this? I was testing a new sheet so I have been using my own email to test alerts... I saw your post and tried using someone else's address instead but notifications are still not being sent. Also,my preference settings are already set up so that I should be receiving alerts even when sending to myself...

I think this is a bug so I would recommend contacting the Smartsheet Support Team directly.

Hi Julio,
I think that I've figured out whats going on here. My update requests stopped going through when I edited what columns would be sent with it. But they started working again if I did this:
Changed what triggered the update request to something new, and saved it. Then I changed it back to the right trigger, and saved it. After I did that the update requests were working again.
Must be some bug with the new update. Hope this helped!

Thanks for the tips, I'm sending it to another personal email as a test. But the problem comes with a new update, before it was sending normally.

I had the same and asked Support, they told me it was a bug and are working on it. They said it was a bug with using checkboxes + selecting specific columns to send out.
If you were using checkboxes as a trigger, try using flags or some other symbol.
