Feature request: e-mail to smartsheet

At GE here in Oslo we are using BOX and smarsheet (increasingly).  We are evaluating a system for logging project specific communication. I believe the combination of smartsheet and BOX or just smartsheet, can easily be adapted to facilitate what we need.

 

If a sheet could be assigned a e-mail address one could put the sheet on CC and request that all communication on a specific project include that e-mail address. The various fields of the e-mail would be sotred to separate columns and attachments either loaded as attachments or if one uses e.g. BOX, one could add a box folder with an e-mail address to the CC field as well and link the entry from smartsheet to box.

 It ought to be possible to have additional columns in such a sheet so that one could assign actions, deadlines, status etc. to the line entries. 

Entries into the smartsheet via mail should be possible also for individuals without access to the sheet itself (to log inbound communication from the customer).
