Image as map input

Hello,
Is it possible to use an image as a map to either click to input coordinates as x and y values or to plot the coordinates back onto the image? I've done lots of searching but can't find anything.
I want this feature to mark locations on a site plan or equipment drawing. Not a Google map.
AppSheet does something similar here: https://www.appsheet.com/samples/Track-company-assets-across-facilities?appGuidString=46a0a56f-d28c-4485-ad99-f62563893f3e
Thanks,
Marty

The only thing I can think of that would be similar would be the Proofing feature. Have you looked into that yet?

Hello, sorry for the late reply.
Thanks for the suggestion. I had a look at proofing, but at a glance I don't think it'll work as it's a very different use case.
I will look into integrating Appsheet and Smartsheet and/or some other option for Smartsheet.

Hey McFly,
Did you ever solve this?
I'd like to do the same thing, would love to hear how you went with it. -
There are two pieces to doing this. Assuming you are just going to use a browser (not write your own app) you want to put the image in a page, declare it an "ismap" and then capture the corrdinates where the user clicks.
This page decribes some ways to do this
You then need to get the coordinates back to the smartsheet. You can use the api for this to capture the coordinates and then write them to two columns in the sheet. You would need to pass the row you are on in the sheet to the page that contains the image to know where to write the data to.
You would also need to have a table of what the coordinates mean.
