Update Requests via Dynamic View
I think I know the answer, but am I able to set up an Update Request workflow automation that comes from Dynamic View?
I need some individuals to be able to update certain fields, but we do not want to give them editor access to the main Smartsheet. So we created a Dynamic view for them to make updates, but I need to create update requests for certain conditions related to specific fields, but I have a feeling, to use update requests, they need editor access and I cannot get around this using dynamic view. Am I correct?

As indicated on the help page for Update Requests, the person you're sending an update request to doesn't have to be shared to the sheet to receive them. So you can just go to your sheet the dynamic view is running off of and set up an automation for update request and that individual won't have access to the whole sheet. Just the fields you include in the update request automation.

Yes but they cannot have editor access to my sheet so the update request will not work. This is why I need Dynamic view for them to update. But with Dynamic view I cannot specify what I want them to update as I could with an update request.
My question was is it possible for the update request to go directly to Dynamic view, and I am thinking this is not possible.

Please check this help article. It specifically states:
"Send update requests to get updated by any collaborator on key rows, regardless of whether they have a Smartsheet account or are shared to the sheet."

Thank you!! For some reason I was sure they could not update without editor access...I was confused with the commenting, which was resolved when they introduced Commenter access! Thanks again!
