Cell-level comments would be a huge time saver (similar to Excel) and in the Comments feature bar there could be a tab at the top that reads "Cell" next to the "Row," "Sheet," and "All" tabs. Currently, I'm spending a lot of time describing columns and going back and forth on communication to confirm columns and which cells. Right-clicking on a cell and adding a comment would be ideal. Pretty please Smartsheet; with ice cream and a cherry on top! 🍨

Agee, I would add option to hoover over cell and see the comment, just like in excel
Agree x2, with the cell-level comment, we can also choose which comment to be shared instead of sharing the comments on the whole sheet.
Love this idea!
More often than not (in fact, probably always), my comments pertain to a specific cell, not an entire row. This would be very helpful!
Agree! When there is a lot of information at the row level, it is sometimes difficult to decipher where the comment references.

Always happy to walk through any project you need help with!
Agree, my concern point is visual icon or mark which cell has a comment as we can see it on entire row
I think there could be a small colored box in a corner of the cell to visually show there is a comment associated with that cell, similar to how Excel handles this exact feature. Hovering over said box could display the comment.
Great idea, this would a huge benefit
YES, please!
This is a HUGE flaw. Comments almost are almost always cell-specific. For such a small thing to implement, it really decreases the usefulness of Smartsheets for me, and I may have to abandon it in favor of switching back to Excel.
Would love to see this. Having to go into Conversations is an extra click.
