I mean, with $20 It probably would sit in my purse for 2 months until I decided to tip someone with it.

I commute everyday to NYC. $20.00 would not go very far, but I would purchase food for those who are saying they are hungry. Whatever that $20.00 and some extra from me would be used for that purpose. I have also used my own money to help senior citizens get home during inclement weather by placing them in a taxi to get them home. You have no idea of the travelers you meet during a day's commute.
Thank you very much,

At first, I would also try to find the original owner of the bill and when I've exhausted all attempts at it, this is what I'd do. I would add my own $20 to it and then donate it to my child's autism awareness and help foundation as they are in such scarcity of funds and being a mother of an autistic child, I understand what a noble job this foundation is doing. I want all special needs kids to receive the much-needed help, support and care.

These day it is very unlikely that you will find $20 on the road, but sure definitely will do something good with it š Open a Robinhood account, buy a penny stock and wait for couple of years and then donate the money. Sure $20 will put food on the plate for a day (plenty of us donate food/money on daily bases), but imagine if that $20 could turn into $1000. You do the math on how many days that could put food on the plate. š¤

I would probably drop it off at our local foodbank, the North Gwinnett Co-op.
Or I'd make a donation to the group that found us our most neurotic Husky back in 2014, Releashed Rescue. Ice, fka Hachi, was their first rescue and we got him (scroll down to the bottom of their page to see our boy in his early days.)
Of course, there's always my mother's non-profit org, Casa Valentina, that transitions at-risk and former foster care youth into adulthood and self-sufficiency.

I would pay it forward - for example at a store/restaurant paying for someone else.
-
If I can't find the owner, I would use it to purchase needed school classroom supplies for my child's teacher.
-
I would take it to our local soup kitchen. They can provide a lot for just $20.
-
Donate to the local Department of Natural Resources
-
I am big into animal welfare and charities. I would donate the money to my local animal shelter and match it. ā¤ļøšļø

For me personally I would most likely find someone close by in need and purchase food or drinks for them and have a conversation.
For fun, I also asked ChatGPT what its answer would be, here is the response:
As an AI language model, I cannot actually spend money, but if I were a human and I found a $20 bill on the side of the road, I would consider donating it to a reputable charity or non-profit organization that aligns with my personal values and beliefs. Alternatively, I might use the money to purchase food or supplies for a local homeless shelter or animal rescue organization. There are many ways to do good with a small amount of money, and it ultimately comes down to individual priorities and preferences.

I would definitely want a ripple effect and pay it forward to others. Conquering the world one random act of kindness at a time. I would take that $20 that I found and match it. Then go and randomly perform acts of kindness sharing a couple of dollars at a time to make someone smile. You never know what kind of day someone is having, so imagine paying a few dollars towards someone's meal in the drive through or buying someone a cup of coffee..... This would make me the happiest person ever, as I would be doing for others.
-
If I found $20, I would donate it to the Gathering Place ministries. They help homeless women and children (and men separately) get back on their feet.
-
I think Iād leave it on the ground and hope the next person that comes across it needs it more than I do.
-
I would take it my church (or a local church) and give it as a donation for the food bank/food drive. Often times when a church buys supplies, companies will be more generous or give greater discounts so this would stretch the dollar (or twenty) much further than I could.
