Alert Someone Automation


Hi all,

I am attempting to set up an automated workflow for account collections. A single sheet will include cash collections for multiple clients. I have RYG triggers set up to run alerts on the 5th day once and then recurring daily on the 10th, no problem. My issue lies with the contacts. I have separate contacts listed in different rows for alerts, but the alerts send to every contact in the sheet. Is there a way I can limit this to only alert contacts in applicable rows?

In the below, I would only want Alex to be notified as that row is yellow. Luke does not need to get an alert as his trigger is green.

    Yes, you can certainly do that. When you are setting up your workflow do the following:

    • Select "Alert Someone" as the action
    • Click on the down arrow next to "Send to Specific People"
    • Then "Send to Contacts in a Cell"
    • Select which cell (your options will pop-up based on the contact column types you have in your sheet
