Does anyone know if there is a way to NOT display a contact's full email address (but show their name, instead) when they are assigned as "Task Owner" in the Smartsheet Calendar App?

We have a calendar that references an existing Smartsheet - Sheet.

The sheet has a contact list column labeled "Assigned".

When the this column is assigned to the "Task Owner" field in the Calendar App, it displays the contact's full email address and not their name.

It would be so much easier on the eyes to see: "John Smith" as the owner rather than see: "john.smith@somerediculouslylongandconvolutedemailaddress.com"

This may seem a rather minor issue but, believe it or not, we have some team members that will not use the calendar because of this one issue. - "It makes it too haaaaaaaard to read....Waaaaahh!"

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thank you for contacting us. Currently there isn't a way to have a contact display the full name rather than the email, but I've logged this request with our developers of the application. I can understand where the frustration comes from.

Hi,

I have used a helper column with the formula:

=Team@row

where "Team" is the column with the contact information

I'm seeing a mix of full email and First Last name - please show full name.

Adding to this... please show the name instead of the email. Using a helper column with a formula doesn't help if you want to be able to change a name from the calendar (say its embedded in a dashboard) When looking at a calendar view that shows email, its a little weird instead of seeing the persons name. Rest of Smartsheet handles this fine.

I agree on this one too. Here is another smartsheet application that is not completly thought thru. Hopefully they can fix/ update this.
