Auto notification. When attachment downloaded
Hi. - I run a sheet with form to collate drawing data.
the original form user uploads a drawing and this populates the sheet.
the auto alert tells the other client (via email) of an attachment available for download. The client then downloads the attachment.
Is there an auto alert to advise me - admin -that the attachment has been downloaded?

Unfortunately there isn't a way to do this in Smartsheet. I am not sure if a 3rd party app would have a solution for you or not.

3rd party within Smartsheet?

A 3rd party app such as Zapier. I personally don't use them, so I am not completely sure if there is anything out there that could help, but it may be worth looking in to.

Thanks mate. Cheers.

Hi,
A possible workaround could be to use an update request to the other client with the attachment link and a checkbox to check when done.
Would that work?

You could also create an Approval instead of an Alert. Set the Approval to trigger when a new attachment is uploaded. Then change the Approved Button to be "Received or Downloaded". When the person downloads the file, they can select the Approved button. Then create a second alert to notify the first person when the Approval column is changed to "Downloaded".
