Date Format in forms
Hi SS Community
I use Smartsheet in Australia and use the appropriate date format for my sheets (image 1) with the correct personal regional settings (image2). However, when I use a form from my sheet to input data it shows the US date format (image 3) which has confused some of my users. Is there a setting to ensure date format stays consistent across sheets and forms?
Thanks in advance.

Having the same issue here with a new PC install.
UK not Australia though.
Date format should be 30.09.2019 on the form.
If I input directly to a sheet, it's fine.
All settings seem correct.

I have just logged this issue with Smartsheet too - I'll update when I hear back.

Awesome thanks Debbie, I haven't had time to do so Myself!

UPDATE:
I thought it was just me within our company with the issue (having installed a new PC). I have had other users come to me today with the same issue.
-
I have had a initial response from Smartsheet:
"I've just confirmed this was a behavior from a bug last month that was initially resolved. It's possible it's resurfaced and I've reported this to our team(have found other relevant cases coming in).
Currently we are awaiting a response from our Escalations team, and there is no current ETA on a fix. Thank you for your report and documentation!
Your case has been added to our list of effected users who've reported the issue. Once we have a solution in place, we'll reach out to advise you, and we appreciate your patience while we work to resolve the issue. "I'll keep you updated...

Positive, thank you.

Hello everyone,
An update has been made —dates should now respect the regional settings for DD/MM/YYYY date format.
If for any reason you're still experiencing this issue, please contact Support.
-
Thank you. All good here.
-
Yep fixed for me too
Thanks

Thanks for the update, Alejandra!

Great fixed for me too - thank you!!

By setting the form so that the user must be logged in to access it, the regional preferences for that user are respected by Smartsheet. By setting the form so that the user does not need to be logged in, then US format appears to be used.
