Re: Row automation - add to top of sheet
Currently it seems there is no way to have new submissions move to the top of the page when being moved from one sheet to another.
For instance if I have 1 form that feeds into different Smartsheets via a workflow, it puts the new submission not only at the bottom of the list, but moves it down 4-5 rows.
Can there be a fix to have this flow to the top of the page for new submissions?

Automatically assigning a row to a parent line once an intake form is filled
I would love it if there was a way for a row that is entered from an intake form to automatically categorize to a parent line and have the option to place it at the top or bottom of the children. For example, if I have a ticket request form and on the sheet there are 3 parents, Pending, New, and Closed requests. When someone fills in the ticket request form associated with the sheet, the new row would automatically categorize as a child row in the appropriate parent category. In this case New. Having to move manually and constantly move rows creates a lot of manual work. Perhaps a hidden auto-selection on the form settings or the form fields.
Re: Hot key for Expand and Collapse Row
Hi Smartsheet Product Group,
**STICKY REQUIRED PLEASE**
I've looked through your extensive hotkey list located at Keyboard shortcuts | Smartsheet Learning Center, and it's a great list tbh. I've found multiple threads (ideas/basic/discussions/support) asking the same question and not getting any traction.
See a list below dating all the way back to 2018 (including this area) only up to page 6 of searches:
• Hot key for Expand and Collapse Row — Smartsheet Community
• https://community.smartsheet.com/discussion/45441/collapse-and-expand
• https://community.smartsheet.com/discussion/77920/collapse-expand-rows
• https://community.smartsheet.com/discussion/50476/expand-collapse-rows
• https://community.smartsheet.com/discussion/94802/expand-or-collapse-items-within-a-heading-row-only
• Row Expansion with Hierarchy — Smartsheet Community
This is and probably will be an ongoing request that is a basic need for plans that are 100s if not 1000s of lines, and Excel/OpenOfficeSheets/GoogleSheets all have this function baked in or easily accessible through configuration.
Most people will probably created a new topic as you see above and not dive as deep as I am right now. I'm doing this based off annoyance for the most part, but also because I (being a large proponent of encouraging Smartsheet usage) I might leave the product itself eventually if this is not something being worked on.
What does this group of community driven folks need to do to get this feature added on your roadmap?

Option to duplicate a sheet and retain Change History
I would like to be able to create a copy of a sheet that retains the change history of the original sheet - most specifically/importantly, the Cell History.
Using Save as New... does not retain any change history.

Re: Sheet Picker Update for Move/Copy Row Automations is now generally available
I don't like it. I have too many problems getting the right sheet(s) to pop up in the regular search as it is. The old way I could just start typing the name and it would show everything filtering as I type more. Can we bring the old way back???

Re: Rich Text formatting in cells
It would be great to be able to change certain text within a cell. I have a column that is "material list" and the information in that cell is sometimes updated. I would like to be able to either highlight or change to BOLD text the new information added to that cell.

I joined Toastmasters through my previous employer and I was selected to go first in the Introduction speech. I was so scared but kind of made a joke of it by giving a mixture of true and false items about myself. When I concluded my speech with the statement "What I've told you today has been a mixture of fact and fiction. What was fact? What was fiction? You decide..." I had the entire group, most of whom had known me for years, second guessing just how well they knew me.

Rollercoasters! My sister took me on my first Disney vacation as an adult (I went with my parents before she was born). She talked me into every rollercoaster ride, and I couldn't get enough. Then we decided we would grow up and head over to Universal. Those were even more fun. And a few years later....Dear Jesus, she talked me into Velocicoaster! Apparently, I will go to the ends of the earth and off the edge with her. 🤣 Now, we only ride slow rides that are indoors when we need to cool off. Still won't ride the wooden ones, though.

Re: Update Request Customization - descriptions and headers like a Form
Currently, the request update workflows allow us to gather information and collaborate effectively. However, I've noticed that the absence of logic and helper texts, similar to what we have in form creation, can sometimes lead to confusion for users and make the process less intuitive. Therefore, I would like to propose the addition of logic and helper texts to the request update workflows.
Logic: The ability to add conditional logic within the request update workflows would be immensely helpful. For instance, if certain criteria are met within the form, specific questions or fields could be displayed based on user responses. This would not only streamline the data collection process but also make the workflow more adaptive and user-friendly.
Helper Texts: Including helper texts, similar to what we find in form creation, would provide users with valuable context and guidance as they complete the request update workflows. These helper texts can offer explanations for specific questions, provide examples of desired responses, and ensure that users understand the purpose and importance of each field. This would significantly reduce errors and misunderstandings during data entry.
By implementing these enhancements, Smartsheet could empower users to create more sophisticated and efficient request update workflows, leading to improved collaboration, accurate data collection, and enhanced user experience.
