hyperlinking to a folder and or file on our local network drive

I would like to hyperlink a folder to our company shared drive from smartsheet.  I keep getting the error message "Invalid URL"

I have seen from other comments that this is an issue, is this some feature that may be added by smartsheet?  It would greatly benefit the way we could use smartsheets.

Please add this feature! I have excel that is linked to our internal folders for easy access and would hate to go back to old way just because we are going to use smartsheet... Thanks!
