VLOOKUP Function

It seems like others have inquired about VLOOKUP. I'm sure this is in the works as part of "enhancement request". Is there a timeline when this will be released?

Travis is there anyway to have the community vote on roadmap candidates and have that be part of SmartSheet's decision on what to add?

Jay, we do have plans to improve formulas in Smartsheet and to add additional functions. At this time, I dont have any details about what what functions would be included or when this would be released but I will submit your vote for VLOOKUP.

 

Brett - All enhancement requests gathered from the Community, support emails, product feedback, etc are tracked by our Product team and taken into account when deciding what features to develop. There are many factors that go into deciding which features will be developed and customer feedback remains a strong contributor.

Brett, our developers are currently working on a new formula engine which will include more powerful and useful formulas and will likely include VLOOKUP. Because of the amount of features the new formula engine will touch, there is a lot of backend work and QA testing that needs to be done before it is released.

 

This is a massive undertaking that we want to get right. I still do not have an estimated timeframe for this but it will be worth the wait!
