Email based on cell value?
Is there a way to send an email containing the data from a row automatically based on the value in a cell? For example if they choose "Accounting" from a dropdown list or contact list in the "Department" column in row 1, then it would email the data from row 1 to the address on file for the Accounting Department.

There is nothing native in Smartsheet for that.
You might look at Zapier.

Zapier could do this!
We are also working on conditional notifications (see: https://www.smartsheet.com/product-roadmap). I dont have details on when this will be released but it should do exactly what you are looking for.

New user here and would be VERY INTERESTED in being able to do this

Hi All,
As mentioned, we're actively working on this feature. If you have ten minutes to spare, we'd love to get your participation in a usability study we're running.

Might be possible to use a dropdown menu and formulas. For example, if column B = Accounting, add accounting@example.com to column C. If Column B = Human Resource, add humanresource@example.com to Column C, etc.
Or just create one form but make multiple version of the form within it (so all info goes to same main form). Within each specific form, you can have an individual, hidden, pres-elected email address field with the specific department email address.
Then just have a lead in page that asks visitors which department they want to contact and link to the corresponding form.
But yes, would be much better if there were a way to automatically associate choice of Accounting to automatically add accounting@example.com from hidden field options. Could do loads of other things if you could associate hidden field data based on submitter form choices!
