In terms of Smartsheet, I've designed a Work Order tracking and approval worksheet that seems to push the boundaries of what Smartsheet was intended for. I discovered this when I asked a tech about an email format generated from the sheet, and they mentioned it was an usual use of the product.
On a personal note, handling my partner's severe stroke aftermath has been challenging. It's sometimes more demanding than dealing with a teenager, but I've learned to stay calm and navigate through it all.

Re: Change the order of Roles/View As within Workapp
I have this same issue, and it is pretty frustrating to the end users.

Change the order of Roles/View As within Workapp
I have not been able to find a way to change the order of roles within the workapp once they are created. It would be beneficial to have the opportunity to change the order of the roles within a workapp once new roles are added to allow for the most important role to be seen first when you enter a workapp followed by the next important role, etc. It is unprofessional if you have a Home role acting as a landing page, but this does not appear as the first role when you enter the workapp.
Allow for a copy of submitted form to be emailed to a default email in setup
When a user submits a response to a form, they have the option to receive a copy. However, it would be nice to have a setting where we can identify a standard email where a copy should be sent by default. We require a saved copy of submitted forms and it's messy trying to export the rows of data (we have upwards of 50 questions). It would be beneficial to get the copy sent to a designated email in the manage form settings so each time it's created, the designed copy of the form is emailed.

I am proud to have accomplished creating a trending metrics sheet and dashboard for my team and my managers to use to track our progress over the next several years. The metrics sheet is using some complex formulas that I was able to track down how to use for the charts that will appear on the dashboards. I'm really excited to be able to do that for my team.

One of my favorite accomplishments this year is that I got Smartsheet Certified! And I got the mug to prove it!

Re: Select which columns to copy or move from one sheet to another
Yes, Copy [entire] Row is a big sledge hammer where sometimes I just need a little Copy [selected columns from] Row ball-peen hammer. Certain actions/workflow could be taken in the target sheetโwhich can then take on a life of its ownโwhere the full content from the source sheet is superfluous or could expose confidential content.

Re: Locating the parent of a parent
There should be a =TOPPARENT() function. These answers are so obtuse!
Backspace Functionality on Contact Object
Personally, I am infallible and have no need to remove a single character that I have ever written. However, I am assuming the rest of your users may misspell a name on occasion, or perhaps misplace a '.' in an email address on occasion. For those unfortunate individuals that fall victim to their own imperfection, the ability to delete said error via the backspace key may be very handy.
This sort of cutting edge functionality is not something I usually share without a consultative fee, but I am feeling extra generous today. So this one is for free.
