Undelete a Sheet as an ADMIN and Owner account is deleted
I recently switched licenses and had my assets transferred to another license owner. After obtaining the new license, i had the owner transfer back the workspaces. For some reason, the sheets within the workspace did not get transferred over. Now, the account of the license owner has been deleted, and i can see the sheet i…

Role and Permission Changes with the new USM
Hi There, I am looking for any description on Roles and Permission with the new USM. Are there any changes on the Roles and Permissions compared to the former license model? As an example I am especially looking for the User Management Roles (e.g. Group Admin, Resource viewer, Plan Asset Admin) as well as the Workspace…

Dynamic Views - Enterprise user
I am an enterprise user at UCSF. Do I need to be a premium user to create Dynamic Views on sheets I own?

Is anyone else confused by this?
If someone is a "Viewer" on an asset technically they cannot take a qualifying action, correct? Don't they first need to 1) click on "Request to Edit" at top right of asset and then be granted access by the Owner or Admin of the asset? This seems very confusing and misleading to me. A Viewer cannot become a Provisional…

Permissions added for a user without a license aren't taking
I have a user that doesn't have a license, but needs Viewer permissions to a workspace, and some Editor permissions for specific reports. When I set this up in the past, it worked great, but today, it's not working any longer. Has something changed around how permissions are supposed to be setup?

Permission levels to recovering deleted items?
Hello Smartsheet Community, I have a plan admin that deleted items from a workspace (they are not the owner of) but when attempting to 'un-delete' they receive the attached error. They did a test and were able to recover an item they own by dragging into a space they own, but they do not own any of the important items…

Sheet Vs Workstream permissions to external users
Hello, My non-profit has some auditors in the office today and they are reviewing some of our project plans as part of the financial audit. To be most efficient I have been asked to give them access to a particular project sheet. However I can't see to be able to share an individual sheet (the 'share' button is greyed…

Post Collection Release - Still Need Folder-Level Permissions
I would like to reopen the discussion on this topic: https://community.smartsheet.com/discussion/92633/folder-level-permissions Even though Collections sortof work, it adds extra complexity, extra time and extra work. Being able to share a folder as opposed to having the all or nearly nothing approach be preferred. I am…

Lost Owner Access to Workspace I Created, but Can't See Current Owner
Hi, I created a workspace some time ago, but recently my access changed (now viewer) and I can no longer manage or edit the content. I also noticed that the Owner field is blank (doesn't load), so I can't identify who currently owns it in order to request access. Is there a way to recover ownership or at least view who the…

WorkApp Suggestions - Expand on Visibility of Page Permissions
Hello, I use WorkApps frequently, and I am trying to introduce it for use throughout our entire organization. An item I wish it included/expanded on: Expand the Page Permissions View for the document descriptions. It is tough when you have a bunch of pages and have to hover over each because the spacing of the section is…

Data Linking Source Sheet Viewer Permission
I'm concerned about the low level permission given to the source sheet access to link data to a new sheet. Currently, you only need viewer permissions on a source sheet to map that data to another sheet in Table View. In order to bring that data into a new sheet the source sheet permission should be Editor-can share at…

RESOLVED Lost Permission to My Own SmartSheet!
I logged in this AM and was prompted to create a new password which I did. I went to access the sheet that I had created 3 months ago and been working on as late as 2 days ago. I am now told that my access is denied and to request permission. When i click the button it of course comes to my email! I click the email link…

If External Users can be Paid Members under USM, does that mean they can be Owners?
Under the new USM, since external users can be provisional Members with the same access as a paid Member and then move on to a paid Member, does that mean they will now have the option to be assigned as an Owner of an asset they are shared to? Or will they still be limited to Admin permission level as the highest level?
