Hi Community, Welcome to the Product Feedback and Ideas space where you can help shape the future of Smartsheet! We really appreciate your feedback and will take all posts into consideration. Our product team will review top ideas and requests monthly and we'll share updates as soon as we get them. Remember: if you have a…
It would be very helpful to have an option similar to "Link to Another Sheet" for large questionnaire forms. This would allow questions to be updated dynamically by maintaining them in a centralized Question Bank sheet, rather than manually updating each form. For example, the Question Bank sheet could contain Question ID,…
I would like the capability to build a fill form for a sheet, in this case a risk register. Then I want to assign that form to pop up when a flag is checked in another sheet, in my case the project plan. It would need to be quick, as I'm hoping to capture risk information as the project meeting is progressing. I'm often in…
We would like the ability for System Administrators to configure "Require Smartsheet login to access this form" as the default setting for all newly created forms within our Smartsheet plan. Today, this setting defaults to disabled, and individual sheet owners can choose to enable it. From a security and governance…
I see that on the new home page quick view I can pin individual sheets, reports, items, etc. However, the workspace section below it rotates and I am not able to pin the most common workspaces I use.
It would be nice if we could scroll down far enough to get the last available row a little higher on the screen. There has also been more added to the top of Table View which further reduces how many rows are visible at once. In the below screenshots, I didn't change font, zoom, or anything else. Just the view. Both of…
Dear Smartsheet, Would it be possible to remove the vertical and horizontal lines when the Gantt chart is printed? Those lines make Gantt chart looks very messy it would be just nice to have white background like in MS Project.
I would like to submit an enhancement request regarding report organization and sorting within Smartsheet. Currently, reports appear to be organized using alphabetical sorting, which can create challenges when report names contain numeric values. For example, a series of reports named: Release 1 Release 2 Release 3 ...…
Table View has really come on a lot, but when building a sheet and modifying column formulas, getting the following message each time is a click I never needed before, and I don't need now. Please allow it to be disabled, or show it once and then dismiss it.
Currently report scope is binary: sheets or portfolios. Portfolio reports are great, but when transitioning a legacy build into portfolios, or simply for more flexible reporting, the inability to add ad hoc sheets into the report scope is a pain. Consider a long-running PPM build that you want to migrate into portfolios -…
September 10, 2026 There's a new way to build workflows in Smartsheet: just ask. Open Smart Assist or a connected AI tool using our MCP connectors (such as Claude or ChatGPT) and describe what you want in plain language, like "Send my team an approval request whenever a new row is added." AI now builds the automation for…
September 10, 2026 Smart Assist now has a dedicated full-screen view — more room for longer conversations and deeper back-and-forth. Open full screen — press the new expand button in the top menu bar of the Smart Assist panel, and toggle between right-panel and full-screen modes at any time. Start a new conversation —…
You asked, and it's here: hierarchy controls now live right in the Table toolbar. Indent and outdent controls now live directly in the Table toolbar and in the row activity indicators, so you can restructure your data with ease, wherever you're working. Prefer a cleaner workspace? You can now hide the hierarchy indicators…
Hi Community, If you've spent any amount of time in Smartsheet over the past year, you've likely heard about (and maybe even used) table view. Since its initial release, table view has rapidly evolved to become the better way to work in Smartsheet. It supports much larger sheets, autosaves so you can collaborate in real…
One-time redirect to table view for users viewing sheets created in Business plans starting in October 2026 Dear Smartsheet Community, Over the past year, we've invested significantly in evolving table view into our next-generation sheet experience. Table view delivers all the core capabilities of grid view while offering…
Based on your feedback, we're making color chips faster to manage. You can now uncolor back to default, or copy and delete items in bulk across the whole selection — reducing clean-up or restyling your sheet to a few clicks. Please visit our revamped help article for all current color chip capabilities! We built it lean on…
You can now add your own privacy notice to every form across your organization. Configured once in the Admin Center, your custom policy automatically appears alongside Smartsheet's own privacy policy on every form, both new and existing. The two policies stay clearly separated, so respondents can always see exactly who is…
Hello Community, Another quarter, another wave of table view updates — not just to close the gap with grid view, but to push past it: smarter work management, better collaboration, and stronger performance at scale. Here's what's new… (Missed the last batch? Catch up here!) Reference and manage sheet level data Sheet…
Linked dropdown columns now support static filtering, allowing work managers to control which values appear in a linked dropdown based on fixed criteria. Admins can apply a filter condition to a linked dropdown column so that only values from the linked source sheet meeting that criteria are returned e.g. "Please, show me…
As sheets in table view grow larger, it's easy to lose track of how much room you've got. So we've shipped a first step: Sheet Size Details, available from your sheet properties in the File menu. This first iteration shows row, column, and cell counts for your sheet — so owners and admins can catch a sheet nearing its…
